Parrs Skincare

Parrs Products is a family company established in 1951. It started as a small cottage industry when Margaret Parrs first manufactured dolls dressed in native costume. Margaret is now retired and today the company is run by Greg Parr, his wife, and two daughters. Over the years the company has grown to be one of the largest skincare and souvenir manufacturers and distributors in New Zealand, with a strong presence in the export market.
 

Coromandel Mountains Tea Tree Oil Co

The New Zealand Coromandel Mountains Tea Tree Oil co. operates out of a 360 acre farm is situated in Whitianga, overlooking Mercury Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula, which is on the North Island of New Zealand. The family that owns the company has been farming organically at that location for over 22 years. Everyone who works on the farm lends a hand to help make the tea tree oil. Lack of mechanisation is vitally important because the operation hinges on keeping the leaves intact so that concentrated oil can be extracted from the tiny oil sacs under the leaves of the tree.

Nelson Honey is a family owned business that has over 100 years experience in the bee industry, dedicated to maintaining the highest standard for its products from a clean undisturbed natural environment free from synthetic chemicals and contaminants. Nelson Honey produces honeys blended with bee venom, propolis and berry concentrates.
 

Wild Ferns

Wild Ferns skincare products are developed by Parrs Products Ltd. As a result of market research and positive global trends in the cosmetic industry the products feature numerous modifications and enhancements with respect to the previous lines. The company was founded in 1974 by Claude Stratford, who at age 63 started a business from the basement in his home making and selling a range of bee products. In the early 70s Comvita was the first company to export New Zealand Manuka honey in a jar, challenging the industry status quo of trading in “bulk” honey. Today the company is the world’s largest producer of high grade Manuka honey.

New Zealand's Great Barrier Island ("The Barrier") is an island located about 100 kilometers (62 miles) north-east of central Auckland, in the outer Hauraki Gulf. Most of the island is a nature preserve administered by the New Zealand Department of Conservation. Manuka trees are abundant on the island, which has a long history of beekeeping, documented at the Great Barrier Island Honey Museum. This local manuka honey is the starting point of the Great Barrier Island Bee Company collection. In addition to pure Barrier Island manuka honey, this line contains highly beneficial products such as sweet almond oil, beeswax, shea butter, propolis, and royal jelly. Products contain no parabens or synthetic colors and they are only tested on local Great island humans!

Tyagarah Apiaries is a beekeeping and honey producing business specializing in the harvesting and production of Active Jelly Bush Honey, Australia’s Manuka. Tyagarah Apiaries is located near Byron Bay in Northern New South Wales, where it produces fine quality honey from the pristine coastal and mountain forests of this subtropical region. Active Jelly Bush honey or Leptospermum honey, has unique medicinal properties not found in other honeys and requires different production and handling methods to maintain these potent qualities. Mossop's is a family business currently owned by Neil and Wendy Mossop. The company was established over 60 years ago by Ron, Neil’s father. Neil, at the tender age of 16 had several hundred beehives and became self-employed until 1975 when Ron offered him a partnership, this partnership was continued for several years until 1981, when Neil and Wendy bought Ron’s share and formed their own partnership. Since then Neil and Wendy have improved and grown the business in all areas, increasing turnover 20-fold. Neil and Wendy’s goal is to keep Mossop's honey a family owned business, to keep traditional methods to ensure the highest standard of honey is always produced and to keep the good old fashioned personal, friendly service.
