For hundreds of years, Propolis has been used as a natural healing agent. Propolis is a waxy substance collected by honey bees which contains phytotonzides. Phytotonzides are believed to contain immunity factors, which when used internally, stimulates the body and gives it a natural resistance to diseases (a natural antibiotic). Combined together, Manuka Honey and Propolis provide the perfect ingredients for a gentle moisturising antiseptic soap.

Beer as shampoo or rinse  has been famed for generations for its ability to leave hair bouncy shiny and full of body, so this bar is chock a block with it - brewed by the boutique Dark Isle Brewery. Prized Tasmanian hops straight from the oats houses of the lush Derwent River Valley of Tasmania are infused then added for their conditioning and antiseptic qualities. You can see flecks of hop remaining in the bar. With its slightly gingery spicy smell this shampoo has become a firm favorite. Richly conditioning and great for dry hair. Our first recommendation to clients with dry or blemished skin is to replace facial cleansers and shampoos with this organic rosehip oil bar. Commercial shampoos contain many toxic and destructive chemicals such as the foaming agents sodium lauryl sulphate and cocamide betaine. These strong chemical de-greasers strip the hair of up to 4/5 of its natural oils and eventually produce sore, dry scalp/skin conditions and irritate the eyes and facial skin. Chemical detergents-invented only 50 or so years ago-are far less bio-degradeable than natural soaps and are harmful to the environment. Detergents pollute our waterways producing algal blooms that kill wild life-essentially doing exactly the same damage as phosphate laden laundry and household detergents. The same applies to 'conditioners', which closely resemble the fabric conditioners they started life as, in both structure and chemical content, and simply coat the hair with a form of silicone plasticiser to make it 'shine'. Dry, sore, flaky skin conditions (often aggravated by the drying synthetic products used before) improve almost immediately after using this bar, as the skin recovers its natural healthy state.
